Erasmus+ Accreditation in Adult Education

Strengthening inclusive adult education through European staff mobility, professional development and exchange of practices.

Programme: Erasmus+ – Accreditation in Adult Education (KA120-ADU)

Erasmus Plan duration: 2 years

Accredited organisation: Arca di Noè Società Cooperativa Sociale (Italy)

Description: Arca di Noè’s Erasmus+ Accreditation in Adult Education supports a structured programme of European staff mobility aimed at strengthening professional skills, improving inclusive educational practices and expanding international cooperation. The Erasmus Plan focuses on non-formal adult education, with particular attention to people with disabilities, people with a migrant background and people with fewer opportunities.

Following the accreditation, Arca di Noè received KA121 funding to implement the first staff mobility activities included in its Erasmus Plan. Through training courses and job shadowing with European organisations, staff will explore and exchange approaches and practices related to language learning, independent living, intercultural mediation and digital wellbeing.

Activities will involve social workers, educators, Italian language teachers and staff with coordination responsibilities, with 18 participants planned for the first year.

The Erasmus Plan connects staff professional development with the needs emerging from Arca di Noè’s services. European mobility offers participants the opportunity to observe different educational methods and working practices, exchange experiences with professionals from other countries and assess how relevant approaches and tools can be adapted to the Cooperative’s own contexts.

Learning outcomes will be shared across teams through internal workshops and translated, where relevant, into practical tools, pilot activities and guidelines. In this way, the knowledge and practices acquired through mobility can benefit not only the staff directly involved, but also the wider organisation and its services.

The accreditation also provides Arca di Noè with a framework for developing more continuous cooperation with European organisations working in adult education and related fields, creating opportunities for professional exchange and future collaboration.
